Privacy
Privacy, stated plainly.
A short policy, because the site does very little. It has one form, no cookies, no analytics, and one third party your browser contacts for typefaces.
Privacy
What this site collects, which is very little.
Written to describe what actually happens rather than to cover every eventuality. If something is not listed here, this site does not do it.
The contact form
The only place this site collects anything is the form on the contact page. It asks for your name, company, email address, phone number, the island, the service you are enquiring about, and your project notes. Company and phone are optional; the rest are required so that a reply is possible.
That information is used for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if it goes further, to scope and price the work. It is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing, and you will not be added to a mailing list because you asked a question.
Who processes a submission
The form is handled by Formspree, a third-party form service. When you submit, the contents pass through Formspree’s systems before reaching us by email, which means Formspree processes that data under its own privacy terms in addition to ours. If you would rather not use a third-party form at all, email or call instead — the address and number are on the contact page and in the footer of every page.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no session or behavioural tracking of any kind. Nothing is written to your browser’s local or session storage. There is one script on the site and it is our own: it handles the navigation menu, a scroll animation, and the year in the footer.
There is one third party your browser does contact. Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so loading a page requests font files from Google’s servers, and Google therefore receives your IP address and basic request information as part of serving them. We do not receive that data and we do not use it. It is mentioned because it is true, not because anyone requires us to.
Server logs
The site is hosted on shared hosting, and like effectively all web hosting the server keeps standard access logs. Those are the host’s, generated automatically, and are not something we analyse or use to build any profile of a visitor.
How long enquiries are kept
An enquiry that becomes a job is kept with the project record, because a survey deliverable and the correspondence that scoped it belong together. An enquiry that does not go anywhere is kept only as long as there is a plausible reason to follow it up.
Asking for a copy, or deletion
Email jbatista@dssusvi.com and ask. You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Where deleting it would conflict with a record we are obliged to keep — a signed survey and its project file, for instance — we will say so and explain which part cannot be removed rather than quietly ignoring the request.
Children
This is a business-to-business site for construction and survey work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If what the site does changes — if analytics are added, or an embedded map, or anything else that involves a third party — this page gets updated at the same time. That is a working rule recorded in the project files, not a promise made in a policy nobody re-reads.
